the Washing of the Feet by [zonabi]

Imagine the following: A plant grows from the soil, but it is of a higher order than the mineral soil from which it grows.  Nevertheless the plant needs [the soil]; the higher could not exist without the lower, and if the plant could think, it would have to say to the earth: It is true that I am higher than you, yet without you I cannot live. It ought to bow down to the earth in gratitude. Likewise must the animal bear itself towards the plant, for it could not exist without plant life. And even so must the human being bear himself with regard to the animal. If a human being has ascended higher, he must say to himself; I could never stand where I do without the lower.  He must bow down in gratitude before it, for it has made it possible for him to exist. No creature in the world could exist without the lower, to which it must feel gratitude. Even Christ, the very highest, could not exist without the twelve, and the feeling of his bowing before them in gratitude is powerfully portrayed in [the] 13th chapter [of John].  He, the highest of all, washes his disciples' feet.

taken from the chapter "The Nature of Initiation" in the book Rosicrucian Wisdom by Rudolf Steiner.

Often times we do not take the time to give thanks to the various beings, creatures, and even other humans that have sacrificed for our gain. It is critically important for the soul to acknowledge such acts of grace, to realize we have been gifted this life, and to know who holds you up in place, whom you trod upon beneath your feet. And thus is the powerful image of the Washing of the Feet.

understanding jesus and the christ by [zonabi]

Approaching concepts and realizations regarding the Christ and the human Jesus of Nazareth that he embodied, can indeed be difficult. Firstly, one should understand that the Christ is a different entity than Jesus, the first is a spiritual being known for quite some time before Jesus- a human-being, was born. There are parallels between other ancient figures, such as Krishna and Horus. Thus there was prophecy, and maybe even preparing, for the true embodiment of the Christ, which took place in the body, mind, and spirit of Jesus around his 30th year. His body had to be prepared before receiving the Christ. According to esoteric knowledge, some believe there were two Jesus children, with a fateful turn of events merging their families. Rudolf Steiner's The Fifth Gospel goes into striking detail of historic events, which he had confirmed with spiritual research and investigation. The sad truth is that we aren't shown any of the struggles, lessons, and reasons for the tragic events surrounding Jesus Christ. We are shown the grim image of a suffering half-dead man on a cross, without being able to comprehend such a cosmic event.

We can begin to understand the importance of the Christ Jesus, and ultimately the Mystery of Golgotha, by studying ancient texts and spiritual literature. We learn that there are a multitude of spiritual beings above us in higher realms of existence, one of which is the Christ. Furthermore, we begin forming a picture of conflicts, trials, and situations in these higher worlds, much like we have crises down here on earth. Certain events lead certain spiritual beings to feel the need to encapsulate one of their own (the Christ) and send him down into an actual earthly incarnation, in order to off-set negative and materialistic imbalances they were foreseeing. This is a rather crude way to put it, and admittedly a watered-down interpretation. After much preparation (prophecy, and the careful selection of certain families) things allowed Jesus to embody the Christ for three years before his death. This short duration of the embodiment of Christ in Jesus is also important. Steiner explains that Jesus could not have lived any longer than 3 years with the Christ inside of him. It could be likened to a candle burning twice as bright. Thus cosmic events knew that humanly affairs would result in the seemingly horrible actions that occurred on Golgotha. Golgotha means "mountains (or hill) of skulls." This was the spot were various people were tortured and killed because of their un-accepted beliefs, practices, illnesses, etc.

While Jesus was beginning to spread his love, knowledge, and help- many authorities marked him as a threat to their kingdoms, power, and civilizations. They saw a man performing feats unimaginable and gaining people's hearts instantly. They heard that he spoke of new ideas, a temple within, and other concepts that empowered the individual, instead of making the citizens rely on government and churches. This caused uproar and many officials wanted to find this Jesus of Nazareth, and not only kill him, but mutilate his body to disprove one of the famous prophecies that "not a bone of his shall be broken." Thus many attempts were made to discover who this Jesus man was and how to find him. This proved difficult, because the very close relationship between Jesus and His Disciples allowed the Christ to actually flow in and out of the other disciples, making them seem Christ-like in some situations. This caused confusion, but ultimately we have the story of Judas giving Jesus up for 30 silver pieces.

Now that they had Jesus, certain malicious leaders from Roman, and even Egyptian empires schemed on the crucifixion of their captured Jesus. They had him  and two other people nailed to crosses on that day. They planned on rocking Jesus to death, breaking his bones and disfiguring him, in order to show the world that he was not the Messiah. The other two people did receive such horrible deaths. But legend has it that as Jesus lay on the cross, sacrificing himself willingly- one of the Romain Centurions, known as Longinus or Cassius, felt the utter compulsion to rush toward the cross on his horse and quickly pierce Jesus in between his ribs with his spear, causing an outpour of water and blood to flood the earth. This swift action, compelled by spirit, bypassed the gruesome death and also had another very important esoteric significance. This deed, seen afterward as divine by many christians who understood the facts- is what pierced the Christ-Jesus, a rupture in that entity caused it to flow outward, into the actual earth's atmosphere. This is why we can access the Christ at any time, now after that event has occurred.

These are some of the details of the very intricate story of one of the most important events in our human existence, the Mystery of Golgotha. Since it has happened we have been given that much more power to work with. You can imagine how it is possible by learning more of the series of events that have been happening on earth and above in those higher realms.

qigong on ripley's believe it or not by [zonabi]

it was great to see that such a useful gift from the ancients be featured on mainstream TV shows, such as "Ripley's Believe it or not."

Qigong, as I've touched on before, is an ancient form of conscious exercise that originated in China over 2000 years ago. It is considered the foundation from which kung fu flourished, and it is recognized by the Chinese government as a fully viable solution for healthcare.

The forms and movements of qigong exercises focus on the several pathways that energy/oxygen flow throughout your body. This is coupled with conscious visualizations intended to focus your attention and thought-energy into flow of energy throughout your body.

I truly recommend Qigong for everyone, because it has absolutely nothing but positive results. the video shows a qigong master doing energy work and amazingly creating high-temperature heat from the palms of his hands.
